Clean Up the Australia Day Summary

Every year, the first Sunday in March is an important day for Australia.

The first Clean Up Australia Day was held in 1990 by Ian Kiernan. This program encourages people to clean the local area and do the right thing for the environment. Last year, more than 565,631 volunteers were involved across Australia. And more volunteers are expected this year.

7204 officail clean up sites had been registered at 11 pm on Thursday. 8 groups were created by Kogarah Municaipal Council. It is simply a click to join any group on the Home Website. Furthermore, there is something else you could do, such as recycling you old mobile phones and plastic products, etc.
